ELISABETH MCGIRL
BSC (HONS), M.OST
READ ABOUT ELISABETH
Elisabeth graduated from The British School of Osteopathy with a Masters in Osteopathy in 2015, complementing her previous BSc in Sports Medicine from the University of Glasgow. She has worked within a broad and diverse range of clinical environments including dedicated sports injury clinics and specialist centres focusing on neuro-muscular disease. Notably, the Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre in Coventry. These experiences have further developed her comprehensive knowledge base and flexible treatment approach.
As part of her commitment to Continuing Professional Development she has gained further qualifications in Sports Massage, Dry Needling, Exercise Rehab and Work Station Assessment.
Elisabeth was drawn to osteopathy because its philosophy closely mirrors her own beliefs on healthcare. Osteopathy is a full body approach to assessment and treatment which aims to identify the cause rather than just treat the symptoms. She started Tottenham Hale Osteopaths in 2016 and enjoys a varied client base ranging from individuals with an active lifestyle to pregnant women and the elderly.
‘From personal experience I know clinical encounters today are often very impersonal. That’s why I wanted to create an environment where an individual could tell their full story and feel they have genuinely been listened to. Pain or injury is a frustrating time for anyone regardless of age, occupation, or goals. It’s important to me that people understand not only what is causing their pain but also why they are experiencing it. You have to know what you are dealing with to overcome it. I want patients to have a role in their recovery and at the end of their treatment feel confident they have the tools to manage their symptoms away from the clinic. My definition of success is a patient feeling like they can take a step away and manage without their Osteopathy appointment. I hope people leave the clinic feeling that treatment has been tailored to them and they can take on any challenge they wish.’
Outside of the clinic Elisabeth is a sports enthusiast who enjoys open water swimming and bouldering.

GRANT BARNETT
OSTEOPATH
READ ABOUT GRANT
His approach to treatment is tailored to each patient’s unique needs, combining a variety of osteopathic techniques. These may include joint mobilisation, manipulation, soft tissue massage, and gentle hands-on visceral and cranial osteopathy. Grant also believes in empowering his patients through education, often providing guidance on ergonomics, lifestyle, exercise, and movement to support their well-being beyond treatment sessions.
Grant’s journey to osteopathy was unconventional. After initially studying Sports Administration and Science in Australia, he spent his 20s backpacking and living in several countries while working in business operations across both the commercial and non-profit sectors. These experiences gave him a unique perspective on how stress affects the mind and body—at times working in harmony, but often manifesting physically in challenging ways.
Driven by his passion for osteopathy, Grant earned an integrated master’s degree from the University College of Osteopathy (formerly the British School of Osteopathy). Dedicated to continuous professional development, he has undertaken further training in cranial osteopathy at the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy (SCCO), visceral osteopathy at Barral UK, and paediatrics at the Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC). As part of his paediatric training, he volunteered at OCC’s London-based clinics, treating babies, children, and pregnant or postnatal women.
Grant is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (10299) and is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
