Osteopathy During Pregnancy

Aches and pains are common throughout pregnancy due to hormonal changes and postural adaptations to accommodate a rapidly changing body. Pregnant individuals can seek the help of an Osteopath to assist with the management of these symptoms. Common complaints include back pain, sacroiliac pain or Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD).

Using a range of techniques which are adaptable as your pregnancy progresses Osteopathy can support you through some of the less joyful ‘joys’ of pregnancy.

You may wish to attend the clinic for symptoms unrelated to your pregnancy

Our Osteopaths have completed further training in pregnancy and women’s health.

Post Natal Osteopathy

Osteopathy is also suitable following the birth of your baby whether it was natural or caesarean. We aim to assist your recovery with manual therapy and where appropriate a suitable exercise rehab programme.

Osteopathy can support you (and any other members of your family!) with any issues that arise while caring for your baby. It’s common to experience shoulder and neck pain from feeding, back pain from lifting or wrist pain from carrying your baby.
